December Lion's Roar

I write as 2022 comes to a close.  Soon 2023 will be upon us.  A new year, ripe with possibilities.

St. Mark’s Vestry voted at the December meeting to switch to ONE worship service on Sunday.  This enables us to all worship together as one.  Starting on Sunday, 1 January worship will be at 9 a.m. only until the Spring.  The Vestry will consider how this is working and your feedback to see if any further change is needed.

We are very saddened by the retirements of both Cindi Ferranti and Kathy Lasicki.  Mrs. Music enriched St. Mark’s 10 a.m. service with her gift of music for almost thirty years.  Kathy has been a fixture in St. Mark’s office for many years with her gifts of humor and dedication.  We honored Cindi in December.  We’ll take time in January (TBD) to celebrate Kathy.  We wish them both well!

“Dear Lord, please give me a few friends who understand me and remain my friends; a work to do which has real value, without which the world would be poorer; a mind unafraid to travel, even though the trail be not blazed; an understanding heart; a sense of humor; time for quiet, silent meditation; a feeling for the presence of God; the patience to wait for the coming of these things, with wisdom to recognize then when they come.”                                         W.R.
